CNC machining has become a major pillar of the manufacturing industry. More and more machine shops adopt this form of processing in their operations. Although many mechanics have become accustomed to this form of processing, not everyone knows the logic behind it. Compared with other forms of machining, the main advantages of using CNC machining are as follows:

(1) High degree of automation and high production efficiency. Except for the manual clamping of the blank, all other processing processes can be automatically completed by the CNC machine tool. If it cooperates with automatic loading and unloading methods, it is the basic component of an unmanned factory. Numerical control processing reduces the labor intensity of the operator and improves the working conditions; it eliminates the procedures and auxiliary operations such as marking, multiple clamping and positioning, and testing, as well as auxiliary operations, which effectively improves production efficiency.

(2) Strong adaptability to processing objects. When changing the processing object, in addition to changing the tool and solving the blank clamping method, only need to reprogram, without any other complicated adjustments, thus shortening the production preparation cycle. 

(3) High processing precision and stable quality. The machining dimensional accuracy is between 0.005 and 0 .01 mm , which is not affected by the complexity of the parts. Since most of the operations are automatically completed by the machine, human error is eliminated and the consistency of the batch parts size is improved. At the same time, a position detection device is also used on the precision-controlled machine tool, which further improves the accuracy of CNC machining.

(4) It is easy to establish communication with computers, and it is easy to realize group control. Because the machine tool adopts digital information control, it is easy to connect with the computer-aided design system to form a CAD/CAM integrated system, and can establish the connection between the machine tools, and it is easy to realize group control.
